The Pensacola beer scene just keeps on growing. The latest edition to the already awesome mix of breweries and brewpubs is the soon-to-open Perfect Plain Brewing Co.
Located downtown in the old Vowell’s Printing location at 50 E Garden Street, Perfect Plain Brewing Co. is the vision of D.C. Reeves (president), Reed Odeneal (director of brewing operations), Brett Schweigert (head brewer, and former brewer at Twin Leaf Brewery in Asheville, NC), and BB Liggett (front of house manager).
Odeneal says the mission for Perfect Plain is to bring great beer to downtown Pensacola while focusing on providing outstanding customer service and coloring outside of the lines.
Walking through the 5,000-square-foot-plus brewery, which is currently under construction, it’s easy to see Odeneal’s vision as he explains how the space will be setup and where the brewhouse and tanks will be located. There’s no shortage of excitement.
So how will Perfect Plain Brewing Co. compliment the existing Pensacola beer scene?
“We want nothing more than to help foster a culture of great craft beer in Pensacola and will do that by collaborating and working closely with the existing beer community and breweries that are established here,” Odeneal says. “We will be pushing the envelope with our styles and offerings to provide the community with locally inspired ales, lagers, barrel-aged and sour beers.”
Perfect Plain Brewing Co. is slated to open in Fall 2017. For more information, visit their website or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
