From their Sea Oat Pale Ale and Shovelbum Cream Ale to the Raiders of the Last Hops #58 Hoppy Red Ale, the brewers at the Redneck Riviera Brewing Project have been working double time to craft their beers.
As a true microbrewery, brewers Tim Moore and Rob Roberts have been creating big flavors on a one-barrel system located within the Goatlips Chew & Brewhouse restaurant. Well, Christmas came early for Moore and Roberts, as they’ve recently upgraded to a shiny new two-barrel system.
“We brewed our first batch September 21,” Moore says. “It’s still pretty small, but the increase will allow us to double our output with less work.”
The Raiders of the Last Hops #58 Hoppy Red Ale was the first brew to christen the new system. Moore says they’ve also been brewing their Sunshine State Grapefruit IPA and will more than likely have their Hotter Than Hellapeno Jalapeno Cream Ale on tap by November.
Both Moore and Roberts will tell you that their goal is to “make sophisticated beer with a Gulf Coast attitude.”
